Description

This Lena terracotta clay pot was made in rural Shanxi province in the 1950s, made with local clay and used in daily to day life before it found its way here. The antique clay pot 's round body and narrow opening are simple and functional, not just decorative.

The dark surface is the result of decades of use. The chalky markings, worn patches and natural patina aren't applied they're what time actually looks like on old clay pots. Each clay pot from our collection varies slightly because no two pots have aged the same way.

Works as a standalone piece or with dried stems. Sits well in neutral, rustic and wabi-sabi interiors or spaces that values things that have actually lived somewhere.

Condition: Vintage- wear and patina throughout, consistent with age
Care & materials

Made from Terracotta Clay. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent build-up. Handle gently vintage terracotta can be fragile. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth using plain cold water. Use as little water as possible terracotta is porous and absorbs moisture easily. Dry immediately and thoroughly with a soft cloth after any contact with water
