Description

The Mara is a primitive terracotta vessel made in Shanxi in the 1950s hand-formed from local clay and used in everyday life long before it became a decorative object. A vintage earthenware piece shaped by time, with a simple rounded form and wider opening that gives it a sculptural presence.

The worn grey tones and surface markings come from years of use, creating a patina that feels natural rather than decorative. It works well on its own or styled with dried stems in neutral, rustic or wabi-sabi interiors.
