Description

Sorara terracotta clay vessel from the 1950s, is a primitive antique clay pot with a beautiful aged grey surface. This vintage earthenware piece was shaped by time with visible wear and natural patina throughout.

These clay pots were originally used in everyday life by locals to carry grains, vinegar and oils.

The soft grey tones and surface markings come from years of use, creating a beautiful finish that feels natural rather than decorative. It works well as a standalone piece or styled with dried stems in neutral, rustic or wabi-sabi interiors.

Care & materials

Made from Terracotta Clay. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent build-up. Handle gently vintage terracotta can be fragile. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth using plain cold water. Use as little water as possible terracotta is porous and absorbs moisture easily. Dry immediately and thoroughly with a soft cloth after any contact with water
