The Nyra – Black Antique Clay Pot
Description
The Nyra antique clay pot is a vessel from 1950s Ukraine a piece of primitive terracotta pottery shaped by hand and blackened in open fire. Its rounded body and single curved handle were made for everyday use; age has since given it a second role as a decorative old clay pot marked by use, wear, and quiet history.
The matte black surface carries darker fire marks, traces of soot, and glimpses of the clay's natural colour beneath. These aren't flaws they're what defines authentic antique earthenware: tactile and imperfect. This is wabi-sabi home decor in its truest form.
Nyra sits beautifully on wooden shelves, mantels, or farmhouse tables, and pairs well with dried grasses or sculptural branches. A rare piece of 1950s Ukrainian smoke-fired pottery and a considered addition to any collection of neutral home accessories.
Care: Decorative use only. Handle with care to preserve the authentic patina. Each piece is unique.
