Description

The Nola is a primitive terracotta vessel from the 1950s a vintage grey earthenware pot with a beautifully aged surface and natural patina that can't be replicated. Made in Shanxi province and originally used as part of everyday life, it carries the weight of something that has actually been used.

Hand-formed from clay, the simple rounded shape and narrow opening give it a sculptural elegant presence.

The soft grey tones and worn surface come from years of use. It works well as a standalone piece or styled with dried stems its muted tones sit easily in neutral, rustic or wabi-sabi interiors.

Scuffs, patina and markings on the clay pot are not irregularities but part of the beauty of the pots
