We fell for this striped Turkish kilim pillow cover because of the pattern a central hand-embroidered panel that breaks up the classic striping either side.

The central panel is the real draw here dense, hand-stitched pattern set against plain stripes that keep the whole thing from tipping into busy. It reads as a considered piece rather than decorative for decoration’s sake.
